- In case of severe injury, the broken part should be placed in a clean plastic bag, tied tightly, if possible, wrapped in gauze. Then put it in another plastic bag containing water, tie it tightly, and place it in an ice box, keeping it at a temperature of 4-10 degrees Celsius.
- Avoid letting the broken part come into direct contact with ice, causing frostbite, easily damaging blood vessels and nerves.
- If the body part has not been completely severed but the skin is still attached, it should not be cut off, even if it is almost completely severed. Instead, cover the wound with gauze, place an ice pack next to it to keep the temperature relatively cold, and avoid placing ice directly on the wound.
- Do not use a vascular clamp, because it can cause damage to the end of the blood vessel, making it difficult to connect.
